![]() ![]() “The purpose of women is different than that of men. “Adam alone, no matter what his priesthood, could not bring this about … Eve the last created being in the creation of the world, without whom the whole creation of the world would have been in vain and the purposes of God have come to naught … This is the place of our wives and of our mothers in the Eternal Plan. ![]() Eve said, “Were it not for our transgression we never should have had seed, and never should have known good and evil, and the joy of our redemption, and the eternal life which God giveth unto all the obedient” (Moses 5:11). The doctrine of a woman’s role in the plan of salvation starts with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. ![]() Women do this by understanding temple blessings, by offering compassionate service, and by sharing the gospel to help souls return to Heavenly Father’s presence. ![]() Over the years, Relief Society presidents have led our society to help each Latter-day Saint woman increase her faith, strengthen her family, and help those in need. That includes bringing eternal blessings to every woman who enters the temple. Joseph Smith taught, “The Society is not only to relieve the poor, but to save souls.” The great purpose of Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is to save souls. ![]()
